Infidelity
Has your relationship changed ever so subtly or not so subtly? Is your spouse or lover suddenly spending inordinate time away from home? Is your spouse cool, distant or moody? Does your spouse make excuses for where they have been? Has your spouse lost interest in cuddling or in sex? If any of these questions elicit a positive response, your spouse or lover may be cheating.
IS YOUR SPOUSE OR LOVER A CHEAT?
During and after sexual activity, semen, vaginal fluid, saliva and epithelial cells may be deposited on undergarments, panties, bed sheets, clothing, upholstery or other surfaces. Sperm can last as long as 3–5 days in the vagina and remain identifiable for years as dried stains.
The following three procedures may be used to identify suspicious stains:
Please contact us or book an infidelity test and find out how one of these tests can help you determine whether your spouse has cheated. Our Labs’ Services Articles, such as underwear, clothing and bed sheets containing suspicious stains can be rapidly and reliably screened for the presence of semen employing a combination of three techniques: ultraviolet illumination, prostrate specific antigen (p30) and microscopy. Even when a man has had a vasectomy, his is still be detectable. If you find suspect stains on your spouse’s or lover’s underwear, clothing or bed sheets, that item may be sent to the laboratory for DNA Testing to confirm whether the stain is only from your spouse or your spouse and another person.
Ultraviolet (UV) light is a popular tool in many forensic investigations for the presumptive identification of body fluids on a variety of items. Body fluids such as semen, saliva, perspiration and vaginal secretions naturally fluoresce when viewed under UV light which offers a discriminating method for locating stains which might otherwise be invisible to the naked eye.
If the DNA reveals that the stain is from 2 people (your spouse and another person), we can use DNA testing to show whether or not you are the second person or someone unknown. This is accomplished by having you submit your cheek swab. Our labs will then compare your DNA profile to the DNA profile obtained from the item you provided, and conclusively tell you whether or not you are the second person.
If you suspect your spouse / lover of infidelity but have been unable to detect a physical say what the stain is, it may be the undetectable stain is a result of oral sex. Ultraviolet (UV) light can be used to locate the stain. When the stain is located, a Saliva Test or Semen Screen can be used to determine the stain’s origin.
