Will People Find Out If I Get A DNA Test?

17th January 2009

Because your individual paternity test case is unique to you, it is private and confidential, and most companies handle DNA cases individually, and confidentially.  Paternity Express recognizes that your case is unique and should be handled with the utmost confidentiality; the procedure is private and discreet and carried out at our laboratory.

Also, in infidelity DNA testing cases, it is likely that the spouse ordering the testing may confront the cheating spouse if it turns out that indeed that spouse has been cheating.  However, the lab will never release test results about any DNA testing whatsoever, without first obtaining written, notarized, authorization for the release of their testing; and that release would be limited to the specific occasion, and to the individual or entity to which the specific occasion referred.  If another release is necessary, the ordering person would have to provide yet another release.  So, you see, unless the person involved in the DNA testing authorizes the release of their test to another person, your test results will be known to the testing lab only.

The only exception to this rule is immigration testing where the test subject provides a third party written request from a consulate / immigration / Homeland Security for specific relationship DNA testing, whereby the immigration needs th result as proof of the claimed relationship.  The AABB lab is obligated to turn over directly from itself to the requesting branch immigration the results of a particular DNA test it requested.  If the requested test is not turned over in the time alloted (most immigration requests gives the petitioner a set time to get the report back to them) then they immigration may proceed to make its decision without the test.  Most people pay strict attention to their “deadline” date and our labs are well aware of this so turnaround time is speedy, usual two to three business days, and the report is sent directly to the requesting branch of immigration / consulate / Homeland Security.  It is imperative that the client provide the “immigration letter” requesting a DNA test, as this determines the speed with which their testing is done.

Whichever DNA testing you need Paternity Express can provide that service at a reasonable rate wherever in the world you are located.
